Next gen Commodores will come with RWD and Twin-Turbo V6.

Or at least in Australian (nolongerv8) Supercars guise they will. But what’s the point in racing on Sunday if you can’t sell on Monday - hard to believe there won’t be an HSV equivalent eventually.

It’s not a V8, but its better than nothing.

Considering the new “Commodore” is pretty much a rebadged Buick LaCrosse, this could also mean NEW GRAND NATIONAL BITCHES.

It is going to be the Buick Regal that is badged as a Holden Commodore. Hope is lost.

No, it’s going to be the Opel Insignia that is rebadged as a Buick and a Holden. And the last time they gave the Aussies a big German sedan to play with it turned out ok. That was back in the early 80s: Holden called it “Commodore”.

The top of the line new “Commodore” will be an AWD TTV6. That was back when Australia’s politicians weren’t trying to kill their car industry, but make it stronger. Now it’s the opposite.

umm if the new Buick Regal is a turbo V6 and RWD why would anyone here say hope is lost? That is basically the return of the GN.

Sounds like the ATS-V to be exact. If they make a new GN like that car I will be excited.

This is not better than nothing, this is equivalent to nothing. Nissan currently race an Altima in the V8 Supercars. The Altima is only available in FWD 4 or 6 cylinder guise, V8 Supercars has done nothing to change that.
